Living in Meridiana

I am so excited to even be writing this blog! I was more than amazed to learn about all that Meridiana had to offer. Where do we even begin...  

Meridiana is located in Iowa Colony, TX. I know, I also asked; where is Iowa Colony?! It is located in the Pearland area; a south Houston suburb. Ideally situation right off highway 288, you'll have an easy commute just about anywhere.

• 20 minutes to Hobby Airport

Meridiana was voted Houston's best amenities and you'll quickly be able to see why! The community is filled with parks, lakes and trails. Enjoy a nice day outside filled with serene visuals. There is a monthly events calendar filled with things to do. There is literally something listed on each day. On May's calendar I saw a few special events like Mother's Day cupcake decorating and Family fun night which included a DJ, games and food trucks. 

Oasis Village is your hub for entertainment and activities. You can enjoy a swim at the lap pool, splash pad or family pool. Get a workout in at the fitness center. Enjoy a cooking class or host an event at the conservatory. Have family game night with some of the outdoor foosball, cornhole and table tennis games. There is even an amphitheater with room for 1,000 and hosts concerts, movies under the stars and more with a lake backdrop.  No need to leave the community to watch a game, simply go down to Cafe Sol right in Oasis Village. You have a sports bar in your backyard as well. 

Adventure Cove; the newest addition to the community has just made its grand opening! Features an island pool, a wave pool, tidal river, fitness center, large pavilion, food truck park and so much more. It gives resort vibes with waterfalls and is surrounded by lounge seating with umbrellas, cabanas, chaise and deck chairs. You literally will have a water-park in your backyard! 

A 100 acre park is adjacent to the Oasis Village. You'll find soccer, baseball, volleyball fields and basketball courts. 

Zoned to the highly acclaimed Alvin Independent School District. There are two elementary, 1 junior high and 1 high school located on-site within the community.   There are even learning labs throughout that provide hands on learning experiences in coordination with Alvin ISD. Everyone learns differently, so Meridiana goes beyond the classroom engaging all the senses with a series of Learning Labs that take classroom curricula out into the field with hands-on experiences.
